Throughout the pandemic Railway key workers have worked across the country, to keep trains running for other key workers. Almost 200,000 key workers relied on Southern, Great Northern and Thameslink rail routes each week to get to and from work. From employing additional staff to increase the amount of cleaning we’re doing, to putting one way systems in place at stations and improving availability of e-tickets to minimise the need for physical contact, the railway pulled together to support key workers. As normality resumes, we can’t wait to welcome you back on board, whether you’re returning to the office, visiting friends and family, or taking a much awaited trip to the beach, you can travel with confidence by train.
