ART32 – Back to Nature

The Details:

Name: ART32 – Back to Nature

Artist: Laura-Kate Draws

Description:

This design diverts gratitude to nature and the hope and peace many have found in reconnecting with nature, finding a love of gardening, foraging or simply finding solace in a daily walk. Lockdown meant things slowed down and with less cars on the road, the environment was able to flourish, the air was cleaner, there were more birds in the trees, butterflies and bees in gardens. With everyone exploring the outdoors a little more, nature connected us, helped us to de-stress and find joy in simplicity.

Laura-Kate Draws has been running her freelance illustration business since 2009 and empowering creativity, sharing skills and encouraging the use of our imagination is at the core of her creative practice. Alongside creating artwork for personal projects, exhibitions and online sale, Laura-Kate has worked on a variety of professional briefs including illustrations for a published children’s book, and a number of large scale public art projects for Wild in Art. Other notable clients include The Royal Shakespeare Company, Library of Birmingham and Heart of Glass. She also works with community groups and has delivered workshops and learning resources for National Museums Liverpool.
